There is no so much public gardens in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. In this historic area of the city where you can see sumptuous mansions on every streets, it is nevertheless possible to find pleasant and pretty public gardens, as Georges Caïn square.
Here, no big lawns to get a tan nor play area. Georges Caïn is a circular-shaped public garden lined with benches and surrounded by ancient buildings. You are indeed behind the Hôtel Carnavalet, a 18th century building which is today a museum dedicated to the History of Paris. At the center of the garden, a statue made by Aristide Maillol and, scattered, archeological pieces recovered from the Museum.
An artistic atmosphere in which you can rest before strolling in the neighbourhood of the Marais or just chat during hours without noticing time pass…
