Following the announcement of the Mayor Anne Hidalgo who wanted to create a “car free day” in Paris, Sunday September 27th has been chosen to inaugurate her policy against pollution.
During this day, cars will be prohibited (with some exceptions that you can find here) in the city center, namely the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris. Are also affected part of the left bank, along the Boulevard Saint-Germain and the Saint-Martin canal, the place de la République, place Stalingrad, place du Colonel-Fabien and Place de la Bastille.
A day that should be ideal to stroll the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris, as the Marais, the Canal Saint-Martin, or the Ile de la Cité.
